Extraordinary Attorney Woo
If you are interested in autism or ASD, I recommend you watch Korean Drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” on Netflix at the moment.
Woo Young-Woo (main character) is an autistic lawyer who is extremely smart but lacks in social skills and empathy.
She has difficulty making eye contact with others including her father and entering the building through a revolving door.
She also has the same routine everyday like eating only Kimbap as a meal, likes to line up objects like papers, uses repeat words, and is obsessed with whales.
However, despite her lack of social skills and empathy, she works as a lawyer.
How can Woo Young-woo work with normal people?
- She has her father who has been taking good care of her with unconditional love.
- She has her close friend who helps her to adjust to social contexts with good support.
- She has colleagues who work together to understand her strengths and weaknesses, in addition to her outstanding memory.
You can learn how to help people with mental disorders such as autism, depression, and anxiety.
Medication may help reduce their symptoms.
However, the most important factors are that they need love, attention, support, etc from family, friends, and coworkers in order to live in various social contexts.
Until now, there is no villain, violent, sexuality, nudity, abusive language in the drama.
I am so sure that “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” will be the best drama in 2022.
